Went for a special occasion dinner. Had reservations for four people. We were on time and were seated promptly. Nice atmosphere. Classic steakhouse vibe. A little dark, lots of wood. We had made a couple of special requests, and we saw they had been seen to. Service was well beyond par. Friendly, attentive, without being too over the top. Nice menu. Fair prices. French onion soup: handmade correctly. Excellent. 12 oz ribeye: excellent cut of meat, seasoned a but too much with salt and not much pepper, but that's a personal taste. Still, a good steak. Mashed taters and asparagus were as to be expected. Others had the steak medallions. Some felt there was a heavy hand with the salt shaker somewhere in the kitchen, but no real complaints. Wine list was excellent. A special bottle was brought in and the corkage was reasonable. Dessert menu left quite a bit to be desired. I didn't see anything on par with the rest of the meal. Was it the best steak I've ever had? No. But I've had some pretty darn great steaks. For me, top tier service can make up for minor imperfections from the kitchen, and that rang true for this meal. We'll be back.

Wow! I was very skeptical about ordering take-out from this place but we did and man it was good. Chicken breast, ribs, rolls, mashed potatoes, broccoli and the desserts. We will definitely be coming in person next time. The reviews don't do this place justice.

I love this place. Great food and good service. Definitely a hidden gem. Parents came here in the eighties. New ownership but hasn't skipped a beat. To top it off when I came out to go home my car had a flat tire. It was closing time. I was going to have to wait 30 minutes for a cab. Instead the owner (Will) gave us a ride home. Talk about customer service. We go there about once a week and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend

Place was great and worthy of 5 stars. We attended the US open in Pinehurst and googled up this place. The reviews looked good so we figured we would give it a shot. Walking in the place has a nostalgic feel, it's very original looking and I love places like that...I love old feel places. We decided to sit at the bar, where we were greeted by the nicest bartender. She really made us feel welcomed...She was very friendly and very on point. She was always around when we needed another drink. We pretty much only had apps, but every app we ordered was stellar. The prices are very fair and the portions are great. The owner came out to talk to us to make sure everything was good. He was a very nice guy and we had great conversations about golf. If I'm ever back in Pinehurst area, this will be the first spot on my list. Thanks!

this is one of the most wonderful steakhouses in North Carolina. We are going to enjoy it after watching the U.S. Open and enjoy their magnificent salad bar, and largest ribeye they have...

Will, I wanted to give you another chance, so tonight I had the 10 oz Ribeye, it was delicious cooked just the way it is supposed to be. I have eaten here several times, once I was not happy, but 1 out of 5 with 4 times being great, I have to give 5 stars. By the way there is nothing better than having an owner that is passionate about his food, I met him when I came in and he is passionate! Well done!

Placed a to go order here and it was ready very quickly. The hostesses was very friendly. I ordered the salmon bites and mashed potatoes. The salmon was very dry but had decent flavor and the mashed potatoes were some of the best I've ever had! Will definitely be returning to try more food when I'm back in town.
